Next meeting (our annual Seminar) is May 30, 2009. Heritage Room, St. Philip’s College
Note change to seminar date. The AASRT seminar will be Saturday May 30,
2009. Seminar will be at the Heritage
Room in the Campus Center Building at St. Philip’s College, 1801 Martin Luther
King Dr. A total of 6 CE credit hours
will be available. Sign in and
refreshments available at 7:00. First
speaker begins promptly at 7:30. You
must be present at 7:30 in order to get credit for the presentation. Please notify Angie Rabb if you are planning
to attend the May seminar. Please email
your name (how you want it on your certificate) to arabb[at]mail[dot]accd[dot]edu or AASRT_Newsletter[at]yahoo[dot]com. The seminar is free to current members. Cost for seminar at the door is $35. This includes a 1 year membership to the
AASRT.
Election of new officers will be held on May 30. Nominations were taken at the March
meeting. Anyone wishing to run for office
can be added to the ballot. New officers
will be sworn in at the conclusion of the seminar.
At the March meeting we had 57 members present. Mrs. Teresa Kautz
gave an informative presentation on Testicular Cancer. We would like to thank Teresa for her great
presentation. We would also like to
thank Teresa, Griselda Estrada, and Linda Monsive for providing the delicious
meal!

Increase in annual dues
The annual dues have been increased to $35 per year,
effective July 21, 2008. You will still
be able to get 12 CE’s for the low cost of $35 by attending all meetings.
Students welcome to join!
Radiography students will be given a discounted rate
of $10 per year. Students must bring a
letter from their program director with expected graduation date. This does not apply to students who are
already registered in a primary modality.
Does your facility have job
openings?
The AASRT will happily run a 1-month listing free of
charge on our website. Call John at 656-6185 or fax job listing details to
210-320-7025.

Will keep anyone with computer
access current on happenings in the community. Webmaster Sam
Vargas volunteers his time in support of our website.
Recent newsletters, links to other professional groups, and AASRT news can
always be found at www.aasrt.org This website also has a page with a current membership list.
If you have forgotten when your membership expires, check the site. If your
name is NOT listed, you are no longer current. Dates should match what is on
your membership card. Please call or email Angie Rabb if you think you’ve found
an error.

If your membership expiration is noted as 04/30/09,
this will be your last newsletter unless you renew. Applicants may renew (or
join) at any time. Annual dues are $35 per year and you’re getting lots
of bang to the buck with CE and meals with a newsletter in any month there is a
meeting, and the website that is
available to all technologists with computer
access. For anyone whose membership is current, renewing simply adds 12 months
to that renewal date. Anyone can join (or re-join/renew) at any time using the
renewal form below (or equivalent):
