Next meeting September 18 at the TNI
(IF YOU PLAN TO ATTEND,
PLEASE RSVP!). We’ll
be meeting on Thursday evening (September 18) in the first floor conference
room of the TNI Building, 4410 Medical Drive. Park in the garage or
ground-level parking lot. Attendants are gone by the time we conclude, so the
parking is free. Lisa Quest ARRT(R)(M) will be our speaker on the topic, Making
the Transition From Film Screen to Digital Mammography. This meeting will
be 1.5 CE credits with the speaker starting at 6:15 pm. Refreshments and
sign-in will be available at 5:45 pm in the TNI Conference Room. New members are always welcome. For food planning purposes, RSVP not
later than Tuesday noon (09/16/08) to Angie Rabb by phone at (210)

Education Day
6 CE Seminar is Saturday, September
27 at 8:30 AM at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio,
HSC Auditorium. Registration deadline is
September 19th. Cost is $30
for advanced registration only.

Increase in annual dues
The annual dues have been increased
to $35 per year, effective July 21, 2008.
You will still be able to get 12 CE’s for the low cost of $35 by
attending all meetings.
Students welcome to join!
Radiography students will be given a
discounted rate of $10 per year.
Students must bring a letter from their program director with expected
graduation date. This does not apply to
students who are already registered in a primary modality.
Does your facility have job openings? The AASRT will
happily run a 1-month listing free of charge on our website. Call John at 656-6185 or fax job listing
details to 210-320-7025.
The AASRT website will keep anyone with computer
access current on happenings in the community.
Webmaster Sam Vargas volunteers his time in support of our website. Recent newsletters, links to other
professional groups, and AASRT news can always be found at www.aasrt.org This website also has a page with a
current membership list. If you have
forgotten when your membership expires, check the site. If your name is NOT listed, you’re not
current. Please call or email John Mayes
if you think you’ve found an error.

last newsletter unless you renew.
Applicants may renew (or join) at any time. Annual dues are $35 per year and you’re
getting lots of ‘bang to the buck’ with CE and meals with a newsletter in any
month there is a meeting, and the website that is available to all
technologists with computer access. For
anyone whose membership is current, renewing simply adds 12 months to that
renewal date. Anyone can join (or
